Texas Instruments Incorporated is seeking a Program Management Engineer to lead product development efforts in the ASM BU. You will drive cross-functional teams across Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, and Manufacturing to ensure timely, on-budget releases with strong ROI.

You will work with wafer fabrication and test sites to manage schedules, costs and quality while maintaining close engagement with customers on status and milestones.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in product development and releases.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills to hit ROI targets.
  • Familiarity with MS Project or similar PM tools and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team to release new products and maximize ROI.
  • Coordinate with wafer fabrication, assembly and test sites for schedule, cost and quality.
  • Plan projects with MS Project from Assess Opportunity to Release to Market on budget.
  • Provide direction to team and external support orgs like fabrication and testing.
  • Motivate team members to achieve flawless execution across programs.
  • Provide weekly/monthly updates to senior management on status and issues.
  • Interface with customers on status, milestones and deliveries, including samples.
  • Perform reliability characterization of ICs to meet specs and manufacturing needs.
  • Collaborate with Failure Analysis to determine root causes of failures.
  • Maintain up-to-date project schedules with milestones.
  • Develop and implement Qualification plans.
  • Communicate weekly status to management.
  • Coordinate material logistics and shipment/assembly/test prioritization.
  • Maintain Galileo system per new product development guidelines.
  • Measure success by growth in new products and ROI.

The ASM BU develops advanced microcontroller solutions for safety-critical applications, with a primary focus on automotive and industrial markets. Our portfolio includes high-performance MCUs designed for ADAS, body electronics, powertrain control, industrial automation, and motor control applications.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead a cross functional team on the execution of releasing new products and ensuring successful return on investment for every development; the team consists of Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, Product & Test Engineering, Firmware/Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Field, and Quality
  • Work with wafer fabrication, assembly & test sites to guarantee schedule, cost and quality
  • Plan the project using MS Project from Assess Opportunity Phase to Release to Market and is responsible to make sure the project comes in on budget
  • Provide clear direction to both, team and external support organizations like device fabrication and assembly and test sites
  • Drive and motivate all team members critical to the flawless execution of each product and project
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates to senior management on status of projects, explaining the issues facing a project
  • Interact with customers in support of project status, key milestones, and deliveries. This includes samples deliveries, special work requests, wafer lot starts and reliability tests
  • Perform product reliability and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements
  • Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures
  • Maintain thorough and up-to-date project schedules with all related milestones
  • Develop and implement Qualification plans
  • Communicate weekly to management on status of each project
  • Effectively coordinate material logistics and shipment/assembly/test prioritization
  • Maintain Galileo system per new product development guidelines
  • Success will be measured by the ability to grow the number of new products and drive the forecasted return on investment.
