Job summary

DEFTEC Corp in Montgomery, AL seeks a Program Manager to lead delivery of the AFCOOL Purchasing Agent contract for Maxwell AFB. You will oversee the Purchasing Agent Manager and a team, ensure civilian credentialing exams and study materials are purchased accurately and on time, while maintaining security and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Five or more years of experience leading teams and managing budgets, purchasing, or invoicing.
• Experience with AFAEMS and AIPortal, or comparable education/personnel records systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for CO, COR, and AFCOOL Program Office; briefing status and requests.
• Ensure exam purchases are paid within three duty days of approval; maintain 1% or less payment error rate.
• Oversee monthly invoicing and financial reporting, including WAWF submissions and bank statements; identify cost savings.
• Deliver weekly, monthly, and grade status reports, the Quality Control Plan, and annual SOP review on time.
• Maintain strong customer service for Airmen, Guardians, and vendors; resolve payment issues and complaints.
• Ensure team protects PII and CUI; complete required security training; follow CAC, base access, and OPSEC.
• Travel up to four times a year for roadshows and base visits.
