Job summary

First American Nuclear is seeking an experienced Document Control professional to establish and lead enterprise EDMS and records management programs aligned with NRC expectations.

You will serve as the issuing authority for controlled documents, manage workflows, and coordinate regulatory submittals and audits.

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years in document control, records management, quality assurance, or technical editing in regulated industries.
  • U.S. person eligible for export-controlled information access (10 CFR Part 810).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

About the Role

Establish and implement enterprise document control and records management programs aligned with NQA-1, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, and NRC expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy electronic document management systems (EDMS); define metadata, classification, taxonomy, and access controls—including export-controlled and CUI document segregation.
  • Serve as the designated issuing authority for controlled procedures and quality documents; manage review, approval, and distribution workflows.
  • Maintain configuration-controlled engineering documents and support engineering change processes to ensure design, licensing, and quality document synchronization.
  • Manage regulatory documentation, licensing submittals, and commitment traceability for NRC interactions.
  • Lead records management operations: storage, retrieval, retention, disposition, and audit support.
  • Coordinate document and data tracking across engineering, suppliers, and vendors; maintain transmittal control and deliverable visibility.
Qualifications
  • 3–7+ years of document control, records management, quality assurance, or technical editing in a regulated industry (nuclear, DOE, aerospace, defense, pharmaceutical, energy).
  • U.S. person eligible for export-controlled information access (10 CFR Part 810).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Skills
  • Advanced reactor or commercial nuclear experience.
  • NRC licensing activity support.
  • Experience establishing document control programs from the ground up.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, OpenText, Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent EDMS.
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, export control, CUI handling, nuclear QA programs.
Preferred Skills
