Job summary

Itineris Baltimore is seeking a Program Manager – Day Hab, CDS to lead Day Habilitation and Community Development Services. Under the direction of the Meaningful Day Program Director, you will supervise Program Supervisors and ensure high‑quality supervision for Senior DSPs and DSPs, guiding client progress and satisfaction through evidence‑based practices.

You will oversee PCP processes, develop materials, monitor goals, coordinate with families, and lead weekly program‑wide meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience plus two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in community or vocational settings.
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders in a case management role for at least one year.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in PCP meetings and help create implementation materials ( visuals, task analyses, social stories).
  • Review PCPs with assigned DSPs for training; monitor progress on goals throughout the year.
  • Oversee progress on goals, data collection, and program quality; ensure client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and their teams through regular communication and planning.
  • Co-lead weekly meetings with Program Supervisors and conduct regular check-ins to address needs and provide feedback.
  • Manage timecards, PTO and staff training requirements, including Relias trainings and deadlines.

Brief Summary of this Position

Under the direction of the Meaningful Day Program Director, the Program Manager – Day Hab, CDS (PM) will be responsible for executing the vision for Day Habilitation and Community Development Services. This includes supervising Program Supervisors (PS) and ensuring high-quality supervision for Senior DSPs and DPSs. The PM will be an integral part of executing a creative evolution towards providing the best services for adults with autism, specifically ensuring client progress, consumer satisfaction, and utilization of evidenced based best practices. The PM will lead others using the principles of behavioral leadership, performance management, and mindfulness-based communication.

Essential Functions
Program Management and Implementation
  • Participate in the process for each assigned individuals’ Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
  • Responsible for supporting the Program Supervisor with leading and facilitating PCP meetings, creating materials for implementation strategies (ex. visuals, task analyses, social stories, etc.), reviewing PCPs with assigned DSPs for training purposes, and monitoring progress made on individuals’ goals throughout the year. Attending all PCP meetings for assigned clients.
  • Oversee and monitor clients’ progress on goals, data collection, and quality of program implementation.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and families to ensure highest satisfaction with services.
  • Build and maintain a positive, professional relationship with clients and their team through regular communication, collaboration, and planning progress towards the individual’s goals.
  • Act as the secondary point of contact for assigned individuals and their teams (i.e. family, guardians, coordinator of community services, outside service providers, and other stakeholders) with the Program Supervisor acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of MD.
Employee Supervision and Performance Management
  • Supervision of assigned Program Supervisors. Responsible for supporting the PS with meeting their professional development goals.
  • Actively participate in new staff onboarding and training procedures.
  • Oversee weekly schedules created by Program Supervisors. Make updates to schedule as needed.
  • Co-lead and co-facilitate weekly meetings with the Program Supervisors.
  • Conduct a weekly check-in with each Program Supervisors to provide the opportunity to address urgent needs and receive updates regarding their clients or program.
  • Conduct monthly check-ins (i.e. Plus/Delta) with each Program Supervisor on your team. Check-ins are an opportunity to build and maintain relationships with staff, as well as provide feedback and collaborate on ideas for their professional development goals.
  • ·Performance management responsibilities as they occur (i.e. conflict resolution, providing feedback, disciplinary action).
  • ADP: Approve timecards on a bi-weekly basis and approve requests for PTO and MHDs.
  • Oversee assigned Program Supervisor’s training requirement on Relias, ensuring training is completed before certain deadlines (Ex. annual blood borne pathogens training).
  • Approve mileage reimbursement forms submitted by assigned Program Supervisors.
  • Conduct an annual Performance Appraisal for assigned Program Supervisors.
Other duties as assigned (which includes but is not limited to)
  • Conduct job interviews for DSP and Senior DSP applicants.
  • Responding to support calls for crisis management using Mandt-approved de-escalation strategies.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to strengthen skills and knowledge.
  • Attend and participate in annual staff training days.
  • Schedule self to work directly with assigned individuals to cover for staff callouts, supporting the individual with starting their new PCP goals, and when the individual is getting started at a new trials sites or community engagement opportunities. This includes providing transportation within the Baltimore metro area.

  • Follow through with expectations and directions given to DSPs and Program Supervisor for accountability purposes.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions, use concrete language, and avoid using unhelpful jargon and ambiguous language.
  • Break down complex information to ensure the individual understands the information.
  • Active listening to ensure an understanding of what the individual is saying (ex. pay attention to body language, ask clarifying questions).
  • Recognize and adapt to the range of individuals’ communication styes and modes of communication (including assistive technology and visual aids).
Conflict Management and De-Escalation
  • Establish consistent routines and uphold clear expectations to reduce conflict.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence (manage and regulate own emotions, understand and empathize with the emotions of others) to manage conflicts effectively.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor and use a calming voice to address conflict.
  • Identify internal and external factors that may trigger conflict and proactively address using individualized strategies for each individual.
Solution Based Problem Solving
  • Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to different situations, switching tasks promptly, and making necessary changes to meet the individual’s needs.
  • Use critical thinking to gather information, evaluate information, and decide how to proceed with solving the problem.
  • Collaborate with DSP on areas of growth and development. Create individualized strategies to support the DSP with mastery of their role.
Digital Literacy
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills such as typing and composing emails.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, etc.), virtual meeting platforms (i.e., Zoom), and online platforms for documentation and professional development.
  • Proficiency with documentation software (i.e., Twinsis).
  • Assist others learning how to use these technologies through individualized teaching strategies.
Time Management and Organization
  • Prioritize tasks that are most important and urgent.
  • Establish and maintain a personal organizational system to keep track of tasks and to remember important information at a later time.
  • Review and respond to emails within one business day.
  • Conduct effective meetings: arrive on time, be prepared with an agenda, record meeting notes, and end the meeting with action steps that include names and due dates.
Required Education/Certifications/Experience

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience plus two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in community or vocational settings. Experience collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders in a case management role for at least one year. CPR/First Aid certified.

Preferred Education/Certifications/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 2 or more years of experience working with the autism population writing and implementing programming in community settings. Understanding the current and proposed DDA service definitions, PCP documentation requirements, proven ability to facilitate productive and meaningful meetings.RBT certified, CMT certified. Experience in a management/team leadership role.
