Job summary

North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA) seeks an experienced Program Manager for its Child Crisis Respite program in Waxahachie, TX. The role involves coordinating care for children in a short-term, community-based setting and participating in staffing to determine optimal recovery paths.

The Program Manager will travel within NTBHA counties (Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro & Rockwall) and may use a company or personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• QMHP experience with direct care of persons with serious mental illness or substance use disorders.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related behavioral health field.
• Knowledge of local community resources and HHSC programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical decision making regarding admissions and discharges.
• Create and document a person-centered crisis recovery plan.
• Be an integral part of the treatment team for each individual.
• Assess individuals' needs daily and facilitate house meetings.
• Provide therapeutic intervention during potential crisis situations.
