Job summary

VARITE is looking for a qualified Program Manager 3 in San Jose/San Francisco, CA (Hybrid). The candidate will lead platform initiatives across front-end and back-end solutions, shaping the digital experience and core systems for clients.

The role requires 5+ years of program management, hands-on Agile leadership, and strong knowledge of web technologies. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, timeline, and risks, and communicate progress to stakeholders while driving on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience and technical leadership.
• Hands on experience with Agile & project management methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Web technologies.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, SharePoint, JIRA, and Wiki (Adobe Workfront experience highly desired)
• Excellent business partner management and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end platform initiatives spanning front-end and back-end.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products.
• Manage projects from initiation through delivery including planning, schedule management, risk mitigation, and adoption rollouts.
• Lead cross-functional activities to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Drive program execution with scope, timeline and resources.
• Develop detailed, cross-team project plans considering all requirements and constraints.
• Aggregate, organize, and synthesize program information for communication with teams and leadership.
• Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes clearly.
• Identify dependencies and resolve issues with contingency plans.
• Work with Product and Engineering Managers to build roadmaps and maintain them.
• Assist Web and Engineering Managers with resource assessment and release planning.
• Drive tactical decisions for projects under direct responsibility.
• Deliver status communication to teams, partners, and leadership.
• Coordinate and run operational, project, and executive check-in meetings.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes.

Contract Duration: 12 months

Pay Rate Range: $85.00/hr. to $88.02/hr. on W2

Work Authorization: Only USC or GC

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Challenge:

• The Platform Program Manager is a leader in implementing technical initiatives that span across front-end and back-end solutions. These end-to-end initiatives have tremendous impact on our web visitor experience as well as systems and processes inside Client.
• The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical program management background, has demonstrated experience leading projects, and has a well-rounded background in current digital marketing technologies and data management.

The Opportunity:

• Manage the development and implementation process for Clients products and services.
• Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.
• Responsible for projects from initiation through delivery including planning, schedule management, risk mitigation, and coordinating adoption rollouts.
• Lead cross-functional activities and teams, ensuring completion of high-quality projects on time and within budget.

What you’ll do:

• Proactively drive program execution and associated scope, timeline and resources with minimal guidance.
• Analyze scope needed to achieve program goals, assess resource requirements.
• Develop detailed, complex, cross-team project or program plans that consider all requirements, constraints, resources, and results associated with defined objectives.
• Aggregate, organize, and synthesize program and project information to communicate with extended team and management.
• Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired program outcomes.
• Proactively manage dependencies; anticipate setbacks then resolve issues and/or define contingency plans.
• Perform risk management: identify, analyze, respond, and control risks, resolve project-specific issues and partner concerns in a timely manner.
• Work with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to build clear roadmaps/ plans for products / initiatives and maintain those roadmaps /plans, drive to reduce the critical path.
• Assist Web Managers and Engineering Managers with resource assessment and release planning.
• Drive tactical decisions for projects that are under your direct responsibility.
• Deliver clear status communication to project teams, partners, and leadership teams.
• Coordinate and run operational, project, and executive check-in meetings.
• Continually evaluate existing processes and procedures and drive improvements.

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience and technical leadership, preferably with large enterprise web projects.
• Hands on experience with Agile & project management methodologies with confirmed leadership capabilities.
• Solid understanding of Web technologies, including web content management systems.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, SharePoint, JIRA, and Wiki (Adobe Workfront experience highly desired)
• Excellent business partner management and presentation skills.
