Job summary

QED Systems Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks a seasoned Program Manager to oversee a Navy Surface Ship Maintenance Training contract. You will be the primary POC with Surface Ship Type Commanders and manage contract performance metrics.

Travel for semi-annual meetings may be required. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Navy maintenance training, with 5 years in program management, holds a Bachelor of Science or PMP, and can obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in U.S. Navy Maintenance training, with 5 years at the Program Management level.
• U.S. citizenship required and eligible for U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract execution for Navy Surface Ship Maintenance Training.
• Serve as primary point of contact with Surface Ship Commanders and contract representatives.
• Maintain and report contract performance metrics and status.
• Conduct semi-annual in-person meetings with Navy Type Commanders for program reviews.

This position is a “Contingent Hire” position contingent upon a potential award of a new U.S. Navy contract to QED Systems.

Salary Range: $105,000/year – $125,000/year

Job Description: Individual will serve as Program Manager (PM) in support of a Navy Surface Ship Maintenance Training contract and will be responsible for overall contract execution. The PM will serve as the QED Systems primary point of contact with Surface Ship Type Commanders and the contracts representative. The PM will also be responsible for maintaining and reporting contract performance metrics and status. The PM will conduct semi-annual in-person meetings with Navy Type Commanders in support of Program Reviews.

Job Requirements/skill sets: Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in U.S. Navy Maintenance training with 5 years of experience at the Program Management level.

Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree or PMP certification preferred.

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and be able to access U.S. Navy ships, military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
