Job summary

Q.E.D. Systems Inc. is seeking a Data Specialist/Administrator to support Navy maintenance IT programs and ensure reliable operations of classroom networks and related systems.

The role requires 5+ years of Navy maintenance processes experience, 3+ years managing 100+ networked computers, and hands-on work with OMMS/AWN/SKED/VSB/MFOM, plus some programming knowledge. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• The Data Specialist/Administrator must have at least five years of recent experience with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and Navy IT systems.
• They must have at least 10 years of Navy maintenance experience in lieu of a degree and three years managing 100+ networked computers.
• Experience with key Navy maintenance programs (OMMS, AWN, SKED, VSB, MFOM) and some programming knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operations and workstation performance of all computers supporting MU and 3-M/365 efforts.
• Interface with Regional Maintenance Centers, Ship’s Force, System Commands, and TYCOM on software issues, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate maintenance program software implementations and support training activities.

Salary Range: $75,000/year - $85,000/year

Job Description:

The Data Specialist/Administrator is responsible for proper operations and workstation performance of all computers used to support MU and 3-M/365 efforts. The Data Specialist/Administrator is responsible for interfacing with Regional Maintenance Centers, Ship’s Force, System Commands, and TYCOM Staff on maintenance program software issues concerning performance, upgrade implementation and troubleshooting matters as required

Job Requirements/skill sets:

The Data Specialist/Administrator shall have a minimum of five (5) years recent experience with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and working with U.S. Navy maintenance IT systems. The Data Specialist/Administrator shall have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with U.S. Navy maintenance processes and working with U.S. Navy maintenance IT systems in lieu of degree. The Data Specialist/Administrator must also have three (3) years recent experience in managing and maintaining at least 100 networked computers in working condition, including software installation and upgrades, routine maintenance, and updating of various installed databases and LAN systems to support classroom training. In addition, the Data Specialist/Administrator must have experience working with key Navy maintenance programs including OMMS, AWN, SKED, VSB, MFOM; as well as some programming knowledge.

Education Requirements:

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science preferred

Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access:

U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and be able to access U.S. Navy ships, military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
