Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Ten years of relevant commercial or government experience in security, law enforcement, military, protective force, or comparable operational environments, including at least the most recent eight years in verifiable law enforcement, military, or security-related roles.
  • Three years of experience managing a security contract or security operation with 200 or more personnel across multiple geographically dispersed locations.
  • Current Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Current DOE Q access authorization or eligibility for granting or reinstatement of DOE Q access authorization.

We’re looking for an experienced Program Manager.

The On-Site Program Manager is responsible for overall contract performance at multiple Department of Energy (DOE) facilities to include daily interaction and progress meetings with U.S. government personnel/government customer; maintaining high standards of competency, conduct, and integrity of all assigned personnel; and operating within budget. The PM ensures all contract requirements, reporting, and deliverables are met and that personnel are performing in accordance with the requirements, Federal regulations, DOE Orders and contract directives

Position will require security clearance, consistent with contract requirements and government approval. U.S. or Naturalized citizenship is required.

This position is contingent upon contract award, and will be on-site in the Washington DC area.

As the Program Manager, here’s the work you’ll do:
  • Daily interaction and progress meetings with U.S. government personnel/government customer, direct reports, and facility commanders.
  • Conduct operational and security analysis and planning required in the development and implementation of security procedures, plans, and directives in support of specific mission requirements.
  • Provide leadership, quality, and reporting oversight to a level which successfully manages the safety of officers, ensures compliance with the PWS, identifies and corrects performance issues, and operates within budget
  • Provide management, supervision, and staffing to effectively train, operate, supervise, administer, and manage the protective force in accordance with DOE Orders, Standards and Directives, and in keeping with sound business practices and corporate policies.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Expert-level knowledge in all phases of current security technology and a broad working knowledge of state-of-the-­art access control systems, preferably at a Department of Energy site or facilities
  • Working knowledge in the protection of classified matter, computer systems and related software, communications systems, and the protection of US government property and assets
  • Project management techniques including management principles ranging through conceptualizing, preliminary planning, design, project development, and understanding of cost and control measures to include budget development and cost saving methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively organize, coordinate and direct work efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written skills
  • Effective leadership and team-building skills
Qualifications
And if you have these qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • A current DOE Q access authorization or equivalent current clearance, such as a Top Secret clearance; or
  • Eligibility for granting or reinstatement of DOE Q access authorization. This generally requires that the individual has been the subject of a federal background investigation that meets the scope and extent of a Single Scope Background Investigation and was conducted or updated by reinvestigation within the most recent five years.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the hourly pay range for this role is $200,000- $250,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
