Title: Program Manager Tech 3
Location: Remote
Summary:
- Interface with clients on technical and business issues from project initiation through delivery. Drive program/project schedules and status reports.
- Create and/or review multiple functional specifications that will be used as tools in making decisions as to how the product or service will be implemented.
- Provide Product Managers & Product Unit Managers with technical and/or analytical information.
- Organize cross‑functional activities ensuring the program/project is completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
Typical Day in the Role
- Purpose of the Team: Work on P0 priority items – security networking, incident management.
- Key projects: Contribute to running projects across OPG; large‑scale products, interact with large groups, drive initiatives across 150 service teams. Include RNR team incident management.
- Typical task breakdown: 60% collaboration with outside teams, 40% collaboration within the team.
Program/Execution Skills
- Drive end‑to‑end program ownership: roadmaps, dependencies, risks, alignment.
- Build and land governance frameworks and program operating rhythms.
- Comfortable with ambiguity → structure → action.
- Excellent coordination across engineering, finance, PM, leadership.
Data & Analytical Skills
- Metrics & telemetry.
- Excel/PowerBI (even if not heavy modeling).
- Create data‑backed narratives and identify trends/risks.
Top 3 Must‑Have Hard Skills (5–7 years)
- Understanding of Azure compute, storage, networking fundamentals.
- Expertise in building and managing program roadmaps, dependency trackers, risk logs.
- Ability to analyze cost trends, variances, and savings opportunities.
Salary Range: $128,960 – $137,960 per year.
