Job Title: Hardware Security Program Manager

About the job:

The Hardware Security Program Manager will oversee the Hardware Lab Kit (HLK) program for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) in the Azure Enterprise and Security Group at Microsoft. The role involves collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure TPMs on modern PCs meet security standards for Windows.

Opportunity summary:

In this role, you will be pivotal in safeguarding Windows PCs by managing the TPM Hardware Lab Kit Testing program. It offers a chance to work within hardware-based security, a fundamental aspect of protecting customer data and identity.

Key responsibilities:

1. Manage and update documentation related to the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program (WHCP) specifications and Certified TPMs.
2. Review HLK test logs, diagnose failures, and manage bugs and tasks in the issue tracking system.
3. Communicate with external partners, including TPM vendors and OEMs, to support HLK tests and certification processes.
4. Perform light coding and debugging for HLK Filters and waivers.
5. Identify and implement improvements for the TPM HLK program.

Required experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, plus 5+ years of technical engineering or program management experience.

Preferred skills:

• 4+ years in software engineering, program management, or testing.
• Knowledge of XML, computer security, and cryptography.
