Job summary

Veritiv Corp in Georgia seeks an IT program leader to oversee a team of consultants delivering advice to leadership on infrastructure, security, data and processes. You will align projects with strategic goals and manage budgets and governance.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, manage risks, mentor staff, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the enterprise, ensuring outcomes such as cost savings and improved performance.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of project management experience.
  • Ability to lead large teams and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; professional diplomacy.
  • Experience translating strategy into objectives and roadmaps.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Job description

Job Purpose

Provide oversight and management to a team of IT consultants that provide advice and recommendations to leadership and IT management on any aspects of an organization's IT function, including infrastructure, applications, security, data or process management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and gain agreement to annual projects and plans for multiple functions or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. profitable growth, cost savings, or other key performance indicators); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.
  • Manage and report on the performance of the enterprise projects that deliver the most value; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
  • Provide end to end project leadership (concept to completion), fully owning the mechanisms which ensure successful project delivery using a creative, focused, and synergistic project development process to include internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the overall organizational strategy by pro-actively identifying, prioritizing, developing and managing the transformation initiative road map with key leaders buy in.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to cross functional project teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders while demonstrating a keen eye for the tactical elements of project management.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Lead and manage large-scale, complex business projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Ensure projects align with organizational goals and strategic priorities, providing direction and guidance to project teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed to ensure project success.
Work Experience
  • 5-10 years of related job experience.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
  • Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.
  • Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
  • Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
