Job summary

Austin Community College in Rockville, Maryland, is seeking a Program Manager to optimize business results and customer experience by leading real property projects, budgeting support, reporting, and strategic actions. This is not an entry level role and requires coordinating with RPMS leadership to meet deadlines.

You will collaborate with RPMS Branch Chiefs and other stakeholders to advance projects, improve efficiency, and enhance service quality across the program while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Must have one year of specialized experience at GS-13 level or equivalent in the Federal service.
• Experience providing leadership and direction to staff in real property or facilities management.
• Experience initiating, managing, planning, scheduling, and implementing construction projects of varying complexity.
• Experience coordinating with senior management and program managers to provide effective solutions.
• Experience advising senior management on new procedures to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support real property projects including RPMS budgeting, auditing, reporting for business line and RPMS administrative tasks.

What you'll be doing day to day

As a Program Manager, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

• Managing and supporting real property projects to include supporting RPMS budgeting, auding, reporting business line and general RPMS administrative tasks.
• Achieving organizational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing project plans, assessing quality and customer‑service standards.
• Collaborating with other RPMS Branch Chiefs, ASA components, PSC and RLO to assist the RPMS Director in the accomplishment of multiple administrative and financial tasks associated with externally driven assignments and deadlines.
• Enhancing RPMS and organization reputation by accepting ownership for
  accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to
  job accomplishments, improve customer service and grow the business line.

Minimum Qualifications

You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

• Providing leadership, management and direction to a staff who support personnel involved in real property, facilities management;
• Initiating, managing, planning, scheduling, and implementing construction projects of varying complexity;
• Coordinating and integrating activities with senior management and program managers in providing effective solutions;
• Providing advice to senior level management involving the adoption of new procedures and programs to improve efficiency of operations.
