Job summary

Ascendion, an AI-native software engineering disruptor, is seeking a Datacenter Power Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield and retrofit projects.

You will coordinate HV/MV power delivery with the East Coast team, attend meetings with utilities and stakeholders, and lead multiple distribution, substation and transmission initiatives aligned with datacenter capacity roadmaps.

• Electrical Engineer with strong written and verbal communication skills.

About the Role

Specific Job Task -

Datacenter Power Infrastructure Project Manager will manage the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield and retrofit engineering / design projects. This position will manage internal and external resources for the delivery of the Datacenter power infrastructure to align with datacenter capacity roadmap.

• The Datacenter Utility Power Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of industry‑leading datacenter power infrastructure including the development of new technology and advanced concepts from pre‑programming through design development, construction, and the turnover to Operations.
• This role will provide infrastructure coordination, management, and overall leadership for our datacenter power infrastructure. To be successful in this role the candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete distribution, substation, and transmission projects supporting datacenter solutions aligned with the scopes, schedules, and budgets of the projects.
• The Design Manager will engage with key stakeholder groups within as well as outside vendors who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.

Skills and Qualifications -

• Successful candidates will manage multiple utility provider teams of engineers and designers to deliver multiple projects aligned with the defined scope, schedule, and budget.
• The candidate must have excellent project management, communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Candidates must possess a high level of proficiency in transmission and substation design and construction.
• The candidates must also be able to work with other technical and non‑technical groups in a fast‑paced environment and do so with an even temperament.
• The candidate must be a person of integrity, be methodical, detailed‑oriented with a strong work ethic.

Basic Qualifications -

• Electrical Engineer / Professional Engineer is a plus. Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and operational processes and procedures as they relate to large datacenter environments.

Experience Required –

• And/or minimum of 5 years’ experience with datacenter engineering or construction

Explain a typical day in the role.:

• The contractor will work with the East coast power delivery team. Attending meetings to coordinate HV/MV power delivery at multiple sites. Meetings with power utilities and project stakeholders. In charge of various meetings.
• The opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple disciplines/backgrounds to help define the HV/MV power infrastructure for datacenters. Manage project from inception to completion.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 – 187,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
