Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an IT Integration Manager for an on-site engagement in Mount Pleasant, WI. The role demands 7+ years in data center or telecom infrastructure with hands-on experience reviewing construction drawings and strong Layer 1 expertise in cabling, fiber, copper, and telecom room design.

You will coordinate with diverse stakeholders, act as an on-site owner’s representative or construction manager, and ensure compliance with standards like BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data center or mission-critical telecom infrastructure.
• Proven experience reviewing telecom construction drawings.
• Strong Layer 1 expertise: cabling, single-mode and multimode fiber, copper backbone, pathways/spaces, telecom room design.
• Experience in coordination, owner's representative, consulting, or construction management.
• Working knowledge of standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NEC).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable holding contractors accountable.
• Able to work onsite in Mount Pleasant, WI for the duration of the engagement.

Responsibilities

• Review telecom construction drawings in detail and discuss findings with project teams.
• Coordinate across stakeholders and manage contractor accountability.
• Apply Layer 1 cabling and telecom room design standards to the project.
• Provide construction management support or act as an owner's representative as needed.

Title: IT Integration Manager

Location: Mt Pleasant, WI

Key Responsibilities:

• 7+ years in data center or mission-critical telecom infrastructure, with direct experience on large-scale construction projects
• Proven experience reviewing telecom construction drawings – this is a firm requirement. Candidates must be able to speak in detail to specific drawing sets they have reviewed, marked up, or approved
• Strong Layer 1 expertise: structured cabling systems, single-mode and multimode fiber, copper backbone, pathways and spaces, telecom room design, grounding and bonding
• Experience in a coordination, owner's representative, consulting, or construction management capacity
• Working knowledge of applicable standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NEC as it relates to low voltage)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable holding contractors accountable
• Able to work onsite in Mount Pleasant, WI for the duration of the engagement

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $165000k - $175000k annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
