Job summary

UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School Executive Education, LLC seeks a Program Manager to oversee on-site, virtual, and hybrid program delivery in Chapel Hill and global locations. You will manage multiple programs, coordinate with faculty and clients, and ensure timely, high-quality execution.

This role emphasizes client service, project coordination, budgeting, materials preparation, and process improvement, with occasional travel up to 25% and participation in an incentive compensation plan.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree and three years of administrative experience or equivalent.
  • Experience with global clients and managing direct reports is a plus.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Experience with virtual learning platforms and training and development preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site, virtual, and/or hybrid program delivery management for Executive Development clients and participants.
  • Manage multiple programs being delivered consecutively using strong project management skills.
  • Collaborate with the internal program and operations team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality programming.
  • Establish professional client relationships with a service-first mindset that we call the Carolina Experience.
  • Coordinate with program faculty and Portfolio Directors to drive planning before, during, and after deliveries.
  • Set timelines for faculty and keep them informed about important client details.
  • Work with service providers to ensure operations run smoothly; negotiate with suppliers for space, lodging, meals, and materials.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and track program expenses within budget.
  • Prepare and provide participants with high-quality program materials and develop program websites for information distribution.

Job description

At UNC Executive Development, we take great pride in the design and delivery of our programs, providing business leaders with the space to learn and grow professionally and personally. As a key member of the program and operations team, the Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of program management and delivery in Chapel Hill, other US locations, global program locations, as well as virtual programming. This individual serves as a primary customer interface with high-level corporate executive participants and manages all operational components of program delivery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform on-site, virtual, and/or hybrid program delivery management for Executive Development clients and participants
  • Managemultiple programs being delivered consecutively using strong project management skills
  • Collaborate with the internal program and operations team to meet deadlines and effectively deliver high-quality programming
  • Establish andmaintainexcellent, professionalworking relationships with clients and program participantswith a service-first mindset that we call the Carolina Experience
  • Coordinatewith program faculty andPortfolioDirectorsto drive the planning process before, after and during program deliveries
  • Set timelines for faculty and keep them informedaboutimportantclientdetails

  • Contractand negotiatewithappropriate suppliersto obtain meeting space, lodging, meals, and program materials
  • Manageaccounts payablesand receivablesandtrackprogram expensestostay withinan established budget
  • Prepareand provideparticipants with high-qualityprogrammaterials in formats consistent with Kenan-Flagler and UNCbrand standards
  • Develop program websites for use in distributing program information, includinglogisticsand materials,and communicatewith participants and company officials to provide instructions concerning their participation
  • Proactively seek opportunities forprocess improvementanddetermineappropriate solutionsfor program delivery
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to detail, strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience working with global clients and direct report management a plus. Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired. Experience in event management, corporate customer service, virtual learning platforms, and training and development preferred. Minimum qualifications include an undergraduate degree and three years of administrative experience or equivalent experience in a related area.

This role will work closely with their program and operations team. If desired, this position offers potential for upward mobility and growth pathways within operations and/or program design.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Arrangement:
  • This role is primarily based on-site, providing opportunities for meaningful collaboration, relationship building, and team engagement. Limited remote work flexibility is available depending on program delivery needs and office-specific task requirements.
  • Must be within commuting distance to office
  • Potential domestic and international travel (up to 25% of time)
  • In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan with competitive bonus potential based on performance.
