Job summary

Community Options, Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an experienced Residential Program Manager to lead a team delivering person-centered supports to individuals with disabilities, manage daily operations, and partner with families to meet ISP goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma as a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, at least two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of state regulations; benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years’ full-time experience supporting people with disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
  • Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with IDD.
  • Background checks including criminal, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffed
  • Manage team performance through communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
  • Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculum
  • Communicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as needed
  • Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP including medication management, meal planning, and behavior management
  • Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely
  • Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concerns
  • Manage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our care
  • Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies including groceries, medications, and cleaning supplies
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
  • Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.

We are actively seeking an experienced Residential Program Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. The Program Manager leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will support teams with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals.

Starting pay is $55,000/per year

Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
Working Conditions
  • Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the community
  • Schedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hours
  • May be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staff
