Base pay range

$124,531.00/yr - $190,424.00/yr

Duties

  • You will manage all phases of assigned programs, from initiation to completion, ensuring successful delivery of hardware and support systems.
  • You will exercise control over program resources, including budget, contracts, and personnel, to achieve program objectives.
  • You will lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to execute program tasks and resolve conflicts.
  • You will develop and implement program policies and procedures to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to align program plans with organizational goals and secure necessary funding.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DA-05=GS-12/13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public performing some or all of the following:

  • Directing all aspects of assigned programs from initial planning through acquisition and delivery of hardware and support systems.
  • Exercising centralized authority and control over resources management, including funding, contracts, priorities, schedules, and personnel.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams of professionals, resolving conflicts, and ensuring the successful completion of program tasks within time and resource constraints.
  • Coordinating program development plans with training and sponsoring agencies to secure funding and ensure program alignment with stakeholder requirements.
