Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a high-priority Federal Client. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across a complex program, interfacing between Dewberry, government stakeholders, contractor personnel, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing large federal programs, translating strategy into execution, and leading multidisciplinary teams in a classified environment.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph at hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Business, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, RA or equivalent certification.
  • 10+ years with admin, operations, program or project management principles.
  • 5+ years of leadership or program management experience, preferably federal.
  • Experience with national security, intelligence, law enforcement, or defense programs.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
  • Experience with program financial management (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools; strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex analyses to executives.
  • Experience with staff augmentation or professional services contracts.
  • Experience in AEC or federal capital programs, including classified environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of contractor personnel for the Federal Client.
  • Manage client expectations and nurture a strong client relationship.
  • Ensure operational coverage across mission-critical functions aligned to priorities.
  • Serve as primary interface with government leadership, analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with analysts to define, develop and deliver program deliverables.
  • Review reports and program products for accuracy and compliance.
  • Access government databases to identify, analyze and format information per specs.
  • Lead preparation and delivery of technical documents, summaries, reports andBriefings.
  • Monitor performance, schedules, staffing, deliverables and contractual commitments.
  • Manage financial performance including invoicing, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with requirements.
  • Apply analytical thinking to evaluate problems, risks and solutions.
  • Establish effective communication among government, contractors and teams.

Dewberry is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a high-priority Federal Client. The Program Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across a complex, mission-critical program, serving as a key interface between Dewberry, government stakeholders, contractor personnel, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of contractor personnel supporting the Federal Client's mission requirements, including performance management, issue resolution, workforce coordination, and staff development.
  • Manage client expectations and nurture a strong client relationship
  • Ensure appropriate operational coverage across mission-critical functions in alignment with the Federal Client's division leadership priorities and evolving mission requirements.
  • Serve as a primary program interface with government leadership, analysts, technical personnel, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, establish priorities, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with government analysts and subject matter experts to define, develop, coordinate, and execute program deliverables.
  • Review incoming reports, analyses, and other program products for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with government requirements.
  • Access and utilize designated government databases and information systems to identify, extract, analyze, and format information in accordance with established specifications and security protocols.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of technical support documents, executive summaries, reports, briefings, presentations, and other program products.
  • Monitor program performance, schedules, staffing, deliverables, and contractual commitments to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage financial performance for assigned program activities, including invoicing, forecasting, financial reporting, and coordination with subcontractors.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality expectations, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Apply strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to evaluate complex problems, identify trends and risks, develop solutions, and provide actionable recommendations to government leadership.
  • Establish effective communication and coordination among government personnel, contractor staff, subcontractors, and AEC technical teams.
  • Maintain strict compliance with applicable federal requirements, contract provisions, security protocols, and organizational policies.
  • Able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in high-pressure environments.
Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Business, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, RA, or other relevant professional certification.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience applying administrative, operational, program, or project management principles and practices.
  • 5+ years of leadership, supervisory, or program management experience, preferably supporting federal government clients.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting national security, intelligence, law enforcement, defense, or other mission‑critical federal programs, with a preference for experience with the FBI.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractor personnel, and/or subcontractors in a complex federal environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with program financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and performance tracking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Chrome and related collaboration and productivity tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with government leadership, technical professionals, analysts, and diverse contractor teams.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences and senior executives.
  • Experience managing staff augmentation or professional services contracts.
  • Experience within an AEC, facilities, infrastructure, real estate, or federal capital program environment, managing large, complex federal programs or portfolios, and operating in classified or highly sensitive environments.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $160,000 - $230,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for VA only.
