Job summary

KellyMitchell Group in Glendale, CA is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile ceremonies and coach teams in Agile practices. The role requires expert Jira usage and extensive project management within a software development environment, plus Digital Content distribution experience.

The position is Hybrid in Glendale, with possible East/West Coast scheduling to accommodate important meetings. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in tech program management are required.

  • Demonstrated Scrum Lead for cross-functional agile teams.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence supporting agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint plannings, backlog refinements, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Facilitate discussions, remove impediments, and coach teams in Agile practices.
  • Advise on user stories, CI, CD, automated testing, and Jira dashboards.
  • Maintain project metadata, metrics, and artifacts for stakeholder visibility.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and communicate delivery timelines to engineering teams.
  • Coordinate project plans, schedules, and reviews with leadership.

Job description

Job Summary This role is focusing on the Digital Supply Chain and should have expert-level experience with Jira, and with extensive experience working within a Scrum Master (5+ years experience) capacity within an Agile environment, heavy project management experience. Digital Content distribution experience is a must.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint plannings, backlog refinements, retrospectives, and demos
  • Provide support using a servant-leadership style, facilitate discussions and decision making in meetings, and resolve team impediments at multiple levels of an organization
  • Coach teams in their journey to Agile, support their self-organization and agile methodology knowledge growth
  • Use tools and techniques to support the team in shipping high quality software increments such as User Stories, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing and JIRA dashboards
  • Assembly, maintenance, and curation of project metadata and metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on program progress and quality and successfully leverage those metrics to identify program needs and course correction
  • Assembly, maintenance, and curation of various team-level and project-level artifacts, including project plans, communication plans, agile working agreements, scope definitions, RAID logs, RACI matrix, and weekly reports
  • Understand, track, and follow-through with inter-team dependencies
  • Understand, communicate, and assist the team with resolving project issues, risks and delays Included in problem solving
  • Communicate delivery times and scope to other software engineering teams that depend on a timely delivery
  • Manage projects that impact the scrum team, including developing project plans and timelines for projects and project deliverables
  • Holds functional managers accountable for their teams’ deliverables
  • Identifies and manages issues and risks and drives decision making
  • Communicates team and project status and schedule updates
  • Coordinate leads-level project syncs and project reviews with senior and executive leadership
Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in technical program management with a focus on software application development
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Lead for cross-functional agile teams
  • Working knowledge of Jira/Confluence supporting agile methodologies
  • Experience with Smartsheet or MS Project
  • Experience with software development (SDLC) practices
  • Desire to expand domain and technical knowledge and take on additional responsibilities as appropriate
Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Technical knowledge of user interface and metadata management within the software development space
  • Advanced knowledge of tools including Atlassian Suite (JIRA/Confluence)
  • Experience with metadata management, version control, and bulk title registration workflows
  • Experience in content planning, rights management, or metadata system
Work Environment
  • Location: Glendale, CA
  • Hybrid
  • Anticipate working with teams on East or West Coast hours, with flexibility to work outside of regular office hours to accommodate important meetings in different time zones
Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
