Job summary

AMN Healthcare in Dallas, TX seeks a Program Manager to drive enterprise program initiatives from inception to completion, defining scope, schedule, budget, and resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years of work experience.
  • PMP certification preferred; Scrum Master preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise IT programs and ERP migrations.

The Program Manager will drive enterprise program initiatives from inception to completion while defining and controlling the scope, schedule, budget, resource needs, and other project variables. The Program Manager collaborates with senior leadership, manages resources, and drives scalable programs and workflows to advance business initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leads Strategic Business Development for ongoing projects by gathering information from business sponsors, planning a strategic roadmap, and shepherding requests through to case completion and ultimately, governance approval.
  • Leads Strategic Program-level activities with responsibility for multiple, concurrent project teams that develop designs and install new enterprise applications, IT technical architecture, and infrastructure systems or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Develops and drives strategic implementation of the program and achieves desired business results.
  • Leads project managers in a matrixed reporting setup with strategic and tactical advice on program and project planning and execution using proven methodologies.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and administrating the program-level master schedule, scope, budget, and prioritization.
  • Provides portfolio/project rationalization guidance based on resource constraints (e.g., financial, time, staff, and skills), business goals, and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership updates on program health to IT and business leaders via executive communications highlighting key unmitigated risks or issues needing management attention.
  • Develop and deploy project management office (PMO) communication plans, methods, and tools throughout the organization, including executive steering committees.
  • Functions as a senior liaison between Technology and the Business Client, and act as the go-to person that represents the entire program from the planning through deployment.
  • Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
  • Able to think outside the box to innovatively tackle multiplex programs, and project challenges and improve PMO processes across the organizations.
Key Skills
  • Experience with enterprise application migrations as well as with critically meaningful projects
  • ERP rollout experience
  • Advanced knowledge and technical competence
  • Experience working in a PMO matrixed environment including helping guide and mentor Project Managers
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills, able to speak organization-wide
  • Skilled in preparing reports for upper management regarding status
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-11 years of work experience
Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
  • Certified Scrum Professional - Scrum Master (Preferred)
Additional Experience
  • Experience leading one or more sophisticated IT strategic programs
  • Experience collaborating with corporate senior leadership, senior technologists, and business collaborators to align business requirements to IT strategy
  • Experience in facilitating process design workshops within business and IT organizations
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Project

Work Arrangement

You will be expected to come into an AMN Healthcare office at a frequency dependent on the work arrangement for your role.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate $101,000 - $120,000. Salary Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
