Job summary

The RISE Group in Cranston, RI, seeks a seasoned Program Manager to oversee energy efficiency programs for utility Administrators. You will act as the primary liaison, ensuring goals, KPIs, budgets, and compliant operations are achieved.

A strong cross‑functional leader is essential to drive performance and customer experience. Responsibilities include directing program delivery, monitoring metrics, coordinating with multiple teams, and producing dashboards and forecasts for leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5+ years in program or project management, operations, or energy efficiency program delivery.
  • Experience with utility-sponsored energy programs or customer-facing service programs.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between RISE and Program Administrators, maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Lead day-to-day program administration activities and ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor KPIs, production metrics, participation levels, energy savings, budgets, and reporting.
  • Coordinate across operations, sales, project management, QA/QC, and finance for delivery.
  • Develop and maintain program reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and status updates.
  • Communicate priorities and program changes to internal stakeholders.
  • Track pipelines, forecasted production, incentive activity, and budget performance.
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities; implement corrective actions.

Job Details: Job Location: Cranston, RI 02910, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Not Specified, Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 Salary, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: RISE, As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and success of assigned energy efficiency programs delivered on behalf of utility Program Administrators. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact between RISE and Program Administrators, ensuring program goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, reporting requirements, customer experience standards, and compliance obligations are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between RISE and Program Administrators, maintaining strong working relationships through regular meetings, calls, emails, and performance reviews.
  • Lead day-to-day program administration activities and ensure successful execution of energy efficiency programs.
  • Monitor and manage program KPIs, production metrics, participation levels, energy savings, budgets, and other contractual performance requirements.
  • Hold internal departments accountable for achieving Program Administrator goals, deliverables, and service expectations.
  • Coordinate activities across operations, sales, project management, QA/QC, customer service, contractor management, and finance teams to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Communicate Program Administrator priorities, initiatives, program changes, and performance expectations to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain program reporting, dashboards, forecasts, presentations, and status updates for Program Administrators and RISE leadership.
  • Facilitate regular operational, tactical, and strategic meetings with Program Administrators and internal stakeholders.
  • Track program pipelines, participation trends, forecasted production, incentive activity, and budget performance to ensure achievement of program goals.
  • Identify operational risks, performance gaps, compliance concerns, and process improvement opportunities, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with program guidelines, contractual obligations, policies, procedures, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Respond to escalated issues from Program Administrators, customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders and drive timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with Program Administrators to identify opportunities for program growth, increased participation, improved customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Support annual program planning, goal setting, budgeting, forecasting, implementation of new initiatives, and development of performance improvement strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations management, account management, or energy efficiency program delivery.
  • Experience working with utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, clean energy initiatives, or related customer-facing service programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor KPIs, track performance metrics, analyze trends, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, utility representatives, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience preparing reports, forecasts, presentations, and performance summaries for management and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability across departments.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and other program territories as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Building Performance Institute (BPI)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Business development experience preferred
Work Environment, Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This position requires the employee to work in a professional office environment and routinely use standard office equipment. Position will entail frequent sedentary work and occasional standing. It is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work may vary but are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no travel required for this position.
