Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Program Manager to lead the end-to-end development of digital electronics for the IGNITE edge processing portfolio. You will guide multiple CCA or entire box development efforts from TRL 0 to 6+ and Mission Classes A–D, defining strategy, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and controlling cost, schedule and risk for mission-critical systems.

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors or higher degree in an Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in digital electronics or related industry
  • Project Management Experience
  • Demonstrated Control Account Manager (CAM) experience, including managing program budgets, schedules, and resource
  • Demonstrated experience in working with multiple functions and disciplines such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills
  • DOD Top Secret Clearance with SCI
  • Master's Degree in related field
  • Proposal support and/or management experience
  • Experience managing subcontracts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead in a remote/hybrid environment, including experience managing virtual teams, facilitating remote meetings, and using remote collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated experience managing procurements, including identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services.
  • Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and the ability to use EVM metrics to track program performance, identify trends, and make corrective actions when necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks, and capitalizing on program opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and budgets, and the ability to use IMS and budget data to track program performance, identify trends, and make corrective actions when necessary.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
