Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manager, Program Management Professional for the International Space Station program in Windsor Locks, CT, onsite. You will support bid/proposal activity, drive cost accounting, and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams across Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • 3+ years of previous Program or Project Management experience required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of compliant bid/proposals in response to customer requests for procurement (RFP)
  • Emphasize supporting program execution teams with cost accounting / finance activities
  • Manage portions of program execution, financial reporting, customer interaction / action-item reporting, subcontract management support, material statusing, customer deliverable management, risk and opportunity management, and all levels of coordination with the core program team
  • Coordinate activities across the Collins shared services business model and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Contracts, Supply Chain, Quality, and IPP&C (Finance) points of contact
  • Ensure RLPM (RTX Lifecycle Program Management) methodology for assigned project(s)
  • Receive minimal instruction on day-to-day work assignments; plan schedules and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives
  • Serve as Proposal / Program Manager for proposal activity; lead Project-specific IPTs
  • Report program status to program manager / senior management
  • Serve as Financials / Cost Account Manager (CAM) responsibility
  • Voice of the customer / weekly project status reporting to customer
  • Keep program manager up to date on any significant issues / accomplishments
  • Work with other VSS / VSLs and functional leads to ensure appropriate priority and alignment with customer commitments
  • Represent organization as a prime contact on key issues
