Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Program Management Analyst - JR to support Navy programs throughout their life cycle. The role will involve creating and updating plans, schedules, POA&Ms, and management reports, under senior staff guidance.

Must have 0-2 years experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and be able to work 100% onsite in Dahlgren, VA. Active Secret clearance is preferred; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Zero to two (0-2) years professional experience.
• Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
• DoD or government documentation experience preferred.
• Active Secret security clearance is preferred; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, reports, and meeting minutes to identify and document changes in progress, scope, schedules, or technical direction.
• Receive and process project deliverables, track their status, and flag potential delays or schedule discrepancies.
• Maintain and update Government project tracking databases.
• Collect, organize, and prepare data for program reviews, configuration audits, management meetings, planning sessions, and design and status reviews.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining Gantt charts, PERT charts, work breakdown structures, staffing plans, financial documentation, and QA plans and procedures.

Overview

Program Management Analyst-JR : (VOPS-2026-26161):

Bowhead seeks a Program Management Analyst- JR to provide program analysis and documentation support for Navy programs throughout their life cycle, from concept development through design, development, and deployment. Work under the guidance of senior staff to maintain program documentation, track schedules and deliverables, and prepare information for program reviews and management meetings.

100% onsite Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating program plans, Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), schedules, action item reports, and status reports.
• Review project plans, reports, and meeting minutes to identify and document changes in progress, scope, schedules, or technical direction.
• Receive and process project deliverables, track their status, and flag potential delays or schedule discrepancies.
• Maintain and update Government project tracking databases.
• Collect, organize, and prepare data for program reviews, configuration audits, management meetings, planning sessions, and design and status reviews.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtian and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Target salary is $58,000/annually to $68,000/annually commensurate with experience
