Job summary

Mastercard in St. Louis, MO is offering an 18‑month Launch Program with a Program Management Analyst I role. You’ll gain broad business exposure, authentic governance experience, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver strategic initiatives.

You will build dashboards, partner with engineering, product, and operations, and develop leadership and business acumen through structured learning opportunities within the B&MI team.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or accelerated Master’s program with graduation between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027.
  • Hands‑on PowerBI experience.
  • Understanding of governance and data‑driven change.
  • Proven leadership in a student group, part‑time job, or similar experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive governance, portfolio management, and program reporting standards across multiple initiatives.
  • Provide visibility into program health, risks, dependencies, milestones, and metrics.
  • Develop dashboards and executive‑level reporting to support leadership decisions.

About the team Business & Market Insights (B&MI), at Mastercard, helps organizations turn data into actionable outcomes by providing intelligence, analytics, and consulting capabilities that enable businesses to run more effectively, optimize performance, and identify new growth opportunities. B&MI empowers customers to make informed decisions, improve efficiency and profitability, and accelerate innovation through data‑driven insights, predictive analytics, and market intelligence.

The Program Manager, Program Governance drives execution excellence across B&MI’s technology portfolio by establishing governance frameworks, delivering portfolio insights, and enabling data‑driven decision making. This role partners with engineering, product, operations, and business leaders to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned, risks and dependencies are managed, and delivery outcomes are transparent and predictable.

As a Program Management Analyst I, you will:
  • Drive governance, portfolio management, and program reporting standards across multiple initiatives.
  • Provide visibility into program health, risks, dependencies, milestones, and key performance metrics.
  • Develop dashboards, executive communications, and reporting that support leadership decision‑making.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment and accountability across engineering, product, operations, and business teams.
  • Identify execution risks and process improvement opportunities to enhance delivery effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and governance reviews.
What we’re looking for
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or accelerated Master’s degree, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
  • Hands‑on experience with PowerBI
  • Understanding of Governance – driven by building processes, efficiencies, working with data, and driving change
  • Proven leadership experience in a student group, part‑time job, or other relevant experiences
  • This role is not eligible for Mastercard’s work authorization sponsorship. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
