Job summary

The Council of Michigan Foundations seeks a dynamic director for the Office of Foundation Liaison to advance equity and social justice in Michigan philanthropy. The role partners with the Foundation Liaison, CMF staff, and state government to coordinate strategic initiatives, research, and joint investments in education and health.

The director will supervise staff, engage with CMF's network, and cultivate relationships with the Governor’s Office and policy leaders to advance CMF priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities that align with FLAC approved goals and CMF priorities.
• Conduct research, plan, convene partners, build cross-sector networks, and recommend improvements to systems.
• Promote engagement with the Governor’s Office, focusing on the Policy team and leadership alignment.
• Supervise the program coordinator and potentially other staff or consultants.
