Job summary

University of Michigan seeks an Assistant Program Manager within the Office of the Provost's Access & Opportunity to advance equity and inclusion for faculty, staff, and students. You will lead planning and improvement of initiatives for WCTF and WOCAP, overseeing operations, budgets, and communications.

You will report to the Assistant Vice Provost for Access & Opportunity and work in a hybrid on-campus/remote arrangement, with occasional evening hours for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience planning programs and events for diverse communities.
• Familiarity with Google tools, social media, and scheduling software; ability to use Qualtrics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative and operational activities for WCTF and WOCAP.
• Serve as liaison among leadership, teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with policies.
• Support planning, governance, and reporting by maintaining membership, sponsorship, and data for reports.
• Coordinate and support programs, conferences, campaigns, and related activities to provide a positive experience for guests and participants.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop outreach and engagement strategies to increase awareness.
• Coordinate program evaluation and surveys, and supervise student staff and vendors.
• Develop, monitor, and reconcile annual and multi-year budgets for WCTF and WOCAP programs and events.
• Coordinate and oversee program financial activities, including purchasing, reimbursements, vendor payments, and contracts.
• Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies to strengthen engagement and visibility.
