  • Advanced capability in analyzing contractor IMS, budget execution, and requirements allocation.
  • Exceptional verbal, briefing, and technical writing skills for executive leadership.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • APM Deputy & Portfolio Execution: Deputy with full authority to perform the APM's duties; coordinate baselines across 3–5 LE platforms.
  • Rapid & Adaptive Acquisition: Architect agile procurement pathways using MTA, OTAs, CSOs; build CRPs, PWS/SOWs, and CDRLs.
  • Autonomy & Emerging Tech Integration: Champion AI, collaborative autonomy, edge computing, MOSA across deliverables.
  • Resourcing & Governance: Drive PPBE inputs, POM builds, Weapon System Reviews, and cross-functional IPTs.
  • Executive Decision Briefs: Deliver data-driven briefs to senior DoD leadership.

Job Description:

Systems Technology & Research, Inc. (STaR) is seeking a Program Integrator Lead in the Huntsville, AL area to support the Army's Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Project Office located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Candidate will serve as the primary operational partner and designated deputy to an Assistant Program Manager (APM) overseeing the cost, schedule, and technical performance of 3–5 unique Launched Effects product lines. This role is designed for a mission-obsessed operator who combines deep defense acquisition acumen with an appetite to challenge bureaucratic inertia, harness AI and autonomous systems, and accelerate cutting-edge capability into warfighters' hands. This opportunity is an in-person/on-site position.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline; DAWIA / Back-to-Basics certification in Program Management or Systems Engineering.
  • Mindset & Tech Passion: Demonstrated passion for AI, autonomy, and uncrewed systems, paired with the intellectual curiosity and courage to respectfully challenge dogma and streamline delivery.
  • Leadership & Poise: Proven executive maturity to represent the portfolio and execute APM responsibilities during stakeholder reviews and milestone gates.
  • Acquisition Track Record: 4–8+ years in a DoD Program Office (or defense industry equivalent) with demonstrated mastery of the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) and PPBE lifecycle.
  • Execution Rigor: Advanced capability in analyzing contractor Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), budget execution, and requirements allocation
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal, briefing, and technical writing skills tailored for executive/flag-level leadership.
  • An active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain.
Qualifications Desired:
  • Direct experience with Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS), Launched Effects, or collaborative swarming architectures.
Responsibilities:
  • APM Deputy & Portfolio Execution: Serve as the designated deputy with full authority to perform the APM's duties in their absence. Synchronize cost, schedule, risk, and technical baselines across 3–5 multi-domain LE platforms to safeguard critical paths.
  • Rapid & Adaptive Acquisition: Architect agile procurement pathways using Middle Tier of Acquisition (MTA), Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs), and Commercial Solutions Openings (CSOs). Build high-impact Contract Requirements Packages (CRPs), PWS/SOWs, and CDRLs tailored for modular, iterative capability drops.
  • Autonomy & Emerging Tech Integration: Champion adoption of artificial intelligence, collaborative autonomy, edge computing, and Modular Open Systems Approaches (MOSA) across prime contractor deliverables.
  • Resourcing & Governance: Drive program inputs for the PPBE cycle, including POM builds, Weapon System Reviews, and P/R-Forms. Align cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (systems engineering, test, cybersecurity, logistics).
  • Executive Decision Briefs: Deliver crisp, data-driven decision briefs and risk trade analyses to senior military and civilian acquisition leadership across the DoD.
