Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Redondo Beach, CA, is seeking a Manager Business Management 1 to lead the Business Management organization within the Research and Advanced Design Division. This onsite leadership role oversees monthly financial reporting, planning, capture efforts, and program financial control.

The successful candidate will have 6+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degrees with fewer years), ERP and planning software proficiency, and an active DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 years’ experience
• MBA with minimum 4 years’ experience
• PhD with minimum 2 years’ experience
• Experience with Financial Planning and Reporting (monthly actuals, forecasts, AOP, Long-Range Plans)
• Able to prepare and analyze data and figures
• Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP)
• Experience with planning software/database systems (NGFP/Hyperion/Oracle Planning, Cognos)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance (or higher)

Responsibilities

• Support the Operating Unit in all aspects of Monthly/Quarterly Financial Reporting and Planning for the Division
• Support the Operating Unit in Capture efforts including proposal preparation, negotiation and certification
• Manage program financials including forecasting, reporting and analysis, EAC, and working capital analysis
• Execute and support SOX compliance and documentation
• Work with finance and business management to improve financial performance based on metrics
• Internal and external audit support
• Support the development of presentations for and brief to Program and Division leadership
• Interface with geographically disbursed business, program, and sector personnel
• Support initiatives and ad hoc requests from Division, Sector, and Corporate leadership
