Job summary

UNFPA is seeking a Finance Associate to deliver effective financial advice and services to internal and external clients, supporting CO and UNFPA projects. You will interpret rules, provide advisory support, and help maximize the impact of financial resources for programmes.

You will monitor programme financial performance, develop budgets, ensure compliance with financial rules, and coordinate with HQ and regional offices. Fluency in English and Arabic; knowledge of Hebrew is a merit.

Qualifications

• Completed Secondary Level Education required.
• First level university degree in Finance, Business, Public Administration or similar discipline desirable.
• Six years of relevant experience in administration, finance or office management.
• Proficiency in current office software applications, web-based management and ERP financial systems.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; knowledge of Hebrew is a merit.

Responsibilities

• Support the monitoring of programme financial performance with analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate compilation of financial data and monitor budgets and expenditures.
• Interpret financial policies, provide training, and guide staff on financial processes.
• Assist in CO budget management, including formulation, allotments, and revisions.
• Maintain financial records, internal controls and audit follow-up; process transactions timely.
• Review charges for services, support cost recovery and financial negotiations.
