Program Facilitator – Behavior Intervention & Special Education (Mon – Fri, 7:30 am–3:30 pm)

APTS invites experienced and dedicated educators to support special education teachers and students with diverse disabilities. Candidates will collaborate in lesson planning, implement behavior intervention strategies, and assist students with daily living skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Special Education Teacher in carrying out lesson plans and activities to help students reach academic goals.
  • Assist students with physical tasks such as using the restroom, hand washing, and daily living activities.
  • Implement proactive and reactive behavior strategies (Applied Behavior Analysis) including crisis intervention.
  • Collect behavioral data based on each student’s IEP and BIP.
  • Assist with transportation of students between school and home, door-to-door, and during community-based instruction.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate interactions with students.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and consistent respect toward all students.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent – required.
