Job summary

The Posse Foundation in Los Angeles is seeking a Program Director to oversee the Posse program at multiple university partners and lead a small staff, ensuring smooth site operations.

Responsibilities include developing nomination networks, managing assessment and pre-collegiate training, and reporting outcomes to campus leadership. Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred, with strong interpersonal and writing skills and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration with university partners, staff, and students.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in youth development/training programs.
• Minimum 2–3 years of management experience.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and group management abilities.
• Decisive decision-making and effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Los Angeles public high schools and local education landscape.
• Willingness to travel frequently between partner sites.
• Demonstrated belief in Posse’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Posse program for up to six university partners.
• Manage a staff of up to four trainers and one program coordinator.
• Coordinate all program operations for the site and calendar.
• Develop and maintain a scholarship nominating network with high schools and community organizations.
• Manage the Dynamic Assessment Process, Pre-Collegiate Training, and Campus Programs.
• Work closely with the Career Program to align student pathways.
• Maintain strong relationships with university partner administrators and staff.
• Monitor student academic performance, retention, and graduation rates; provide regular reports.
