Job summary

Qualifications

Position Overview

The Program Director will be responsible for providing leadership in developing, planning, organizing, supervising staff, and directing the activities associated with housing and support services. They will be responsible for collaboration across departments to align projects with organizational goals, manage budgets, and engage stakeholders. The Program Director must demonstrate a basic understanding of sound fiscal judgement to support the organization’s contract compliance. They must also demonstrate the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks concurrently, work collaboratively, and meet tight deadlines.

  • SCOPE OF ROLE :
  • The Program Director will be responsible for providing leadership in developing, planning, organizing, supervising staff, and directing the activities associated with housing and support services. They will be responsible for collaboration across departments to align projects with organizational goals, manage budgets, and engage stakeholders.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide oversight of the program and staff supervision .
  • Manage and monitor all aspects of program start-up based on HRA contractual requirements and S:US guidelines .
  • Provide supervision, guidance, and performance evaluations to program staff .
  • Stay abreast of rent payments by reviewing monthly rent ledgers.
  • Enforce corporate compliance protocols, S:US employee policies, procedures, and protocols, and incident management policies, procedures and protocols .
  • Review and develop quality control systems and procedures .
  • Conduct weekly internal file reviews and implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with HRA standards .
  • Ensure ethical practices are maintained in service provision throughout the program .
  • Participate in professional development and training through agency-wide in-service training and outside training .
  • Participate in and monitor the recruitment, hiring, and selection of personnel .
  • Facilitate periodic staff meetings, weekly protocol meetings, and case conferences as appropriate.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with HRA as required .
  • Develop and maintain external provider relationships .
  • Monitor and report program performance data .
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work or a related human services field with two years of supervisory experience.
  • Three years of experience working with the homeless population providing case management services and support including assistance securing public benefits, entitlements and referrals as needed for employment services, financial literacy support, medical, mental health or substance use support services, and connections to Health Homes and other community support-based organizations.
  • Experience with harm reduction strategies, trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, conflict resolution, crisis intervention and crisis de-escalation.
  • Experience leading teams to set objectives , milestones, and project road maps.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with managing data and preparing reports.
