Job summary

Be GREAT Academy's Program Director role at Ebinport Elementary School is a part-time seasonal position, Monday through Friday 1:30 pm–6:30 pm, at $14 per hour.

The role oversees the delivery of all program areas, plans, develops, and manages implementation, and supervises staff. The position serves as a liaison among parents, schools, and community partners, coordinating pro-social youth development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Youth Development field (or equivalent education and experience).
  • 2–3 years program delivery experience.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and promote Core Values.
  • Implement Curriculum.
  • Organizes, directs and implements programming, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America's five Core Program Areas.
  • Provides individual and group instruction.
  • Maintain discipline; arbitrate disputes and enforce Club rules.
  • Refer youth in need of additional services to appropriate agencies.
  • Manage/Delegate appropriate responsibilities to program staff.
  • Meet with volunteers and orientate them to the Club environment.
  • Ensure planned programs, services, and activities are implemented in line with mission and procedures.
  • Assist staff in guiding Club members toward appropriate program choices.
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings.
  • Solicit input from staff, community, parents, volunteers and members for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Program Director

Position available at Ebinport Elementary School.

General Function

Responsible for overseeing the delivery of all program areas within the Club. Plans, develops, and manages program implementation. Supervises program staff and performs other related administrative duties. Serves as a liaison between parents, schools, community groups and Club members. Works in partnership with the Campus Director to ensure that a myriad of pro-social and youth development opportunities are available to all Club members. Provides orientation and goal setting for all Club members. Program Director Floaters will be housed at a specific site in the region of their choice. They will report to the housed site every day unless told to work at another site in their region when needed.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Youth Development field (or equivalent education and experience) and 2-3 years program delivery experience.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Must be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities while at all times displaying tact, maturity and flexibility. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, standing for up to four hours per day, and ability to implement programs. Skills essential for success include speaking, writing and knowledge of the computer.

Environment & Working Conditions

After school/Recreational settings that include being in/out doors. Occasional weekend and evening work to support organization's fundraising events and activities.
