TAG MedStaffing’s client in Brooklyn seeks a Program Director for its OASAS-certified Part 820 Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program.

This senior leadership role reports directly to the President & CEO and will be the primary accountable figure for clinical quality, regulatory compliance, fiscal health, and grant performance.

Qualifications

• Licensed LCSW in New York required.
• CASAC certification required.
• Minimum 5 years as Program Director of a Part 820 residential program.
• Minimum 10 years of staff and team management experience.
• Proven budget management and grant funding oversight.
• Deep knowledge of OASAS regulations, Part 820 standards, audits.
• Strong regulatory writing and documentation skills; familiarity with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Part 820 residential program, including admissions and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with 14 NYCRR Part 820, OASAS regulations, and audits readiness.
• Develop and monitor corrective action plans, manage incidents and risk.
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision under OASAS standards.
• Oversee grant-funded and operating budgets; coordinate with finance on billing and reporting.
• Meet grant deliverables and reporting deadlines to OASAS and funders.
• Monitor census, capacity, and utilization to meet funding goals.
• Supervise leadership and multidisciplinary staff, including credentialing and evaluations.

Job description

Our client is a mission-driven community health organization in Brooklyn seeking a Program Director for its OASAS-certified Part 820 Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the President & CEO. You'll be the primary point of accountability for the program's clinical quality, regulatory compliance, fiscal health, and grant performance.

What you'll do

• Lead daily operations of the Part 820 residential program, including admissions, continued stay, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
• Keep the program fully compliant with 14 NYCRR Part 820 and OASAS regulations, and continuously ready for audits, grant monitoring visits, and unannounced inspections.
• Develop and monitor corrective action plans, and oversee incident reporting, Justice Center requirements, and risk management.
• Provide clinical oversight to ensure timely, compliant documentation and appropriate clinical supervision under OASAS standards.
• Manage grant-funded and operating budgets, working with finance on billing, reimbursement, and fiscal reporting.
• Meet grant deliverables, performance indicators, and reporting deadlines to OASAS and other funders.
• Monitor census, capacity, and utilization to meet program and funding goals.
• Supervise program leadership, clinical supervisors, and multidisciplinary staff, including credentialing, performance evaluations, and professional development.
• Lead CQI activities and track outcomes, client satisfaction, and compliance indicators.
• Serve as the program's liaison with OASAS, funders, oversight agencies, and community partners.

What you'll bring

• Current New York State LCSW (required).
• Current CASAC (required).
• At least 5 years as a Program Director of an OASAS Part 820 residential program.
• At least 10 years of staff and team management, including multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven budget management and fiscal oversight experience, including grant-funded budgets.
• Deep knowledge of OASAS regulations, Part 820 standards, audit processes, and grant compliance.
• Strong regulatory writing and documentation skills, and comfort with EHRs and compliance reporting systems.

Preferred

• Experience overseeing multiple OASAS-funded residential programs.
• Experience with state, federal, and foundation grants.
• Knowledge of co-occurring disorder treatment and integrated care models.
