Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Developmental Services, seeks a Program Director (Program Manager VI) to oversee seven Pioneer Valley Homes in Western Massachusetts, ensuring safe, compliant residential supports and 24/7 crisis management. The role supervises about 134 DDS staff and coordinates with families, area and regional offices.

You will monitor budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, guide hiring and training, and manage ISP-related processes within HCSIS.

Qualifications

• At least five years of full-time or equivalent professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management.
• At least one year must have been in project management, supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Substitutions: certificates, Bachelor's, Graduate or Doctorate degree may substitute for part or all of the experience.
• Education and licenses may be verified per Hiring Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage seven Pioneer Valley Homes in Amherst, Hadley and Whately; oversee ~134 DDS employees and 24/7 on-call crisis management.
• Ensure homes are clean, safe, compliant and well-maintained; liaise with families and offices.
• Make hiring recommendations; manage ISP, incident reporting and medication events in HCSIS; ensure mandatory training and HR processes.
