Job summary

Kindred Hospital South Bay Gardena, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Program Director (PT or OT) to lead the rehabilitation program in a 54-bed LTACH in Gardena, CA. The role oversees staffing, operations, and quality initiatives to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include directing interdisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgets, referrals, and admissions, and fostering strong client relationships while promoting excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Current California license as Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Proven management experience in healthcare or rehabilitation settings.
• Experience with geriatric or disabled populations preferred.

• Lead program staffing, team supervision, and staff development across the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory standards, and quality care practices.
• Drive operational efficiency including oversight of budgets, referrals, and admissions processes.

How You'll Contribute

• The incumbent shall be responsible for the total operation of the rehabilitation program. The incumbent plans, directs and coordinates program activities to ensure that company and client goals are met. The incumbent shall also be accountable for and contribute to program development, quality improvement and problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with a current California license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT), along with demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare or human services setting. Additional qualifications include:

• Proven management experience and/or a strong rehabilitation background
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience working with a geriatric or disabled population (preferred)
• Reliable transportation
• Proficiency with computers and current technology
