Job summary

Kindred Hospital South Bay Gardena in California is seeking a Program Director (PT or OT) for our long-term acute care rehabilitation program. This is a full-time leadership role directing the total operation, shaping program development, and driving quality and productivity to meet patient care goals.

You will lead an interdisciplinary team, ensure compliance, manage budgets, referrals, and admissions, and foster strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Current California license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) and demonstrated leadership in healthcare or human services.
• Proven management experience or strong rehabilitation background.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience with geriatric or disabled populations preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with computers and current technology.

Responsibilities

• Direct the total operation of the rehabilitation program.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate program activities to meet goals.

How you'll contribute

• The incumbent shall be responsible for the total operation of the rehabilitation program. The incumbent plans, directs and coordinates program activities to ensure that company and client goals are met. The incumbent shall also be accountable for and contribute to program development, quality improvement and problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a candidate with a current California license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT), along with demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare or human services setting. Additional qualifications include:
