The Program Director manages and oversees daily programmatic operations in department. Assesses and works to ensure institutional and program compliance and adherence to regulations. In collaboration with department leadership, develops and implements program guidelines, employee/client educational programs (if applicable), quality improvement plans, and may also assist with budget preparation.
The Program Director provides day-to-day management and oversight of program operations within the Mental Health Equity Research Group of the Mount Sinai Institute for Health Equity Research (IHER). Working closely with the research group director develops and implements mental health programs , community-based educational and training programs, and provides strategic direction and support.
The candidate must: (1) have direct experience facilitating evidence-based mental health literacy interventions in faith-based and other community settings as part of federally funding research studies for adults and/or youth; (2) have expertise developing and testing trainings protocols for peer interventionists (e.g., Community Health Workers); (3) have at least one publication in a peer-reviewed psychiatric journal with qualitative data (e.g., interviews); and (4) be certified as a National Instructor of the following trainings:
In addition, the candidate must have experience with REDCap, developing and leading Community Advisory Boards, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, demonstrated experience with group facilitation, and be comfortable discussing mental health topics including suicide. They must have a solid understanding of the social, economic, and political factors that contribute to treatment gaps in under-resourced communities.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115543.88 - $180722.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
