Job Highlights:
*Develop the program curriculum. Maintain current knowledge of national innovations in curriculum form and content.
*Responsible for the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, counseling, evaluation, and advancement of residents.
*Develop policies for the program and monitor overall compliance with these policies.
*Provide leadership and direction to ensure compliance with institutional and program-specific requirements as defined by the ACGME, Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Evaluation Committee, and National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
*Serve as the primary graduate medical education (GME) leader for Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in partnership with Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
*Responsible for prudent management of the program's financial resources

Minimum Requirements:
*M.D or D.O., licensed to practice medicine in Virginia
*3 years of experience as a Core Faculty member in an ACGME -accredited Emergency Medicine program
