Qualifications

  • Master's degree in behavioral health sciences is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and long-term development of 7E MCO.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Clinical, and HR to develop policies and ensure client safety.

Program Director Overview

We are seeking a Program Director to join our Region 7E Mobile Crisis Outreach (MCO) team! This new position will be responsible for all aspects of the daily operations as well as long-term strategic development of 7E MCO within Northern Pines Mental Health Center. MCO encompasses all services provided including outreach and stabilization services. The Program Director will also function as a member of the MCO team and must be able to complete all functions of an MCO Mental Health Professional. This is a new, grant-funded role and team. The Program Director will play a critical role in developing the team, services, and community partnerships.

Essential Functions
  • Participate in 7E planning committee. In collaboration with the committee, provide recommendations for the success of the 7E team and implement deliverables
  • Connect with community partners to build and maintain strong referral relationships
  • Complete all leadership functions for 7E MCO staff including but not limited to: recruitment and selection, onboarding, training, scheduling, providing direction, delegating assignments, providing evaluations, addressing employee concerns, and addressing employee performance issues
  • Collaborate with Director of Operations, Clinical Director, and Human Resources to develop and enforce policies, procedures and protocols that protect the health and safety of clients and assure client needs are met
  • Regularly facilitate staff meetings, clinical supervision and individual supervision
  • Manage 7E MCO budgets including but not limited to: expenses, revenues, grant funds, and contracts
  • Manage daily operations of MCO programs in compliance with all state and federal regulations including but not limited to: standards of care, licensing and insurance, keeping up with and incorporating all state and federal regulations that impact applicable programs.
  • Maintain and monitor all contracts, grants and additional funding sources and the required reporting requirements, ensuring to meet necessary timelines.
  • Monitor and support individual staff’s client care goals by setting clear expectations, regularly reviewing performance, and providing coaching as needed. Clearly communicate team and individual goals, actively engage staff in their goals, encouraging a shared commitment to achieving outcomes.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation for clients is completed within necessary timelines, including by not limited to progress notes, evaluations, assessments, consents, treatment plans, crisis plans, and screenings.
  • Complete audits in collaboration with the Clinical Director to ensure program requirements are being met
  • Review staff documentation
  • Monitor and evaluate client care to ensure treatment is carried out in accordance with agency and quality standards
  • Complete brief crisis assessments/Interventions which will recommend inpatient psychiatric placement or incorporating crisis stabilization to assist the consumer to continue living in the least restrictive environment while maintaining their baseline level of functioning
  • Provide crisis assessment/intervention to consumers within the community, social services, law enforcement agencies, and emergency departments
  • Provide a brief risk assessment for suicidal/homicidal risk, intervention, and collaboration throughout the region, community, and emergency room settings
  • Develop, review, and incorporate treatment plans for crisis stabilization follow up as deemed appropriate
Qualifications
  • This position may be filled by a mental health professional independently licensed in the state of Minnesota (i.e. LICSW, LMFT, LP, Psychiatric Nurse, LPCC)
  • Master's degree in behavioral health sciences
  • Certification to provide Board Approved Clinical Supervision in respective licensure is preferred
  • This role will consist of rotating day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
  • On-site presence will be required during daytime, weekday shifts.
  • To allow appropriate response to crisis situations, this position will include on-call hours that achieve coverage 24 hours a day/7 days per week/365 days per year
  • Crisis staff cover Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine Counties, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Primary office will be located in Mora, MN.
  • Travel is a function of this position; a valid driver's license is required
Compensation & Benefits
  • A wage range of $74,000 - $104,000 annually considering credentials and experience.
