Job summary

YWCA Cass Clay is seeking a full-time Program Director to lead, evaluate, and expand programs aligned with the organization’s mission. You will partner with the Chief Program Officer to ensure quality, compliance, and impact across initiatives that serve the community.

The role requires 3+ years in program management, strong leadership and communication, and ability to manage budgets while collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Travel and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s level education preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, including supervision of staff.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with budget oversight and management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain auto insurance; travel off-site as needed.
• Proficient in program evaluation and data analysis.
• Meets all background check requirements.
• Understanding of the mission of the YWCA Cass Clay; eliminating racism and empowering women.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff, providing training, professional development opportunities, and guidance for performance improvement.
• Foster a collaborative team culture and encourage innovative approaches to program delivery.
• Promote a positive work environment that encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Provide clear and concise communication that engages and motivates employees toward desired goals.
• Work with YWCA Leadership to develop and monitor program budgets.
• Lead the development, implementation, and management of high-quality programs aligned with the mission and goals.
• Collaborate with the CPO to evaluate programs and design new initiatives.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of all YWCA programming and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor program outcomes and assist in regular reporting; collect data and report on impact.
• Represent YWCA at meetings and public events; provide tours and advocacy as needed.
• Assist in budget development and resource procurement; ensure operations stay within budget.
