Job summary

Aha Projects is seeking a Program Director to design and deliver nonprofit capacity-building services. You will lead educational programming and act as a trusted coach for nonprofit leaders, guiding organizations through governance, finance, HR, and strategic planning gaps.

You will build a scalable, collaborative learning ecosystem—hosting workshops, Lunch & Learns, and community trainings while connecting nonprofits to experts and shared services to drive sustainable impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching executive directors, boards, or nonprofit leadership teams.
  • Strong facilitation and group process skills.
  • Experience designing and delivering workshops or educational programming.
  • Ability to build trust and navigate sensitive organizational conversations.
  • Excellent project management and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of Aha Projects educational programming (Lunch & Learns, AHA Talks, community trainings, peer learning).
  • Engage resources and experts to recruit and manage speakers, facilitators, and partners.
  • Develop systems, workflows, tools and documentation to standardize service delivery while remaining flexible for small organizations.
  • Develop program materials, resources and learning content.
  • Create a pipeline for nonprofits to receive coaching, technical services and shared services.
  • Serve as ongoing coach and strategic thought partner for nonprofit leaders.
  • Connect organizations with subject matter experts, consultants and service providers as needs arise.
  • Track progress and adapt coaching strategies over time.
  • Identify and connect with governance, finance, HR, legal and strategic planning gaps.
  • Coordinate referrals and handoffs to internal staff and external partners.
  • Serve as the primary contact throughout the capacity-building process.
  • Build relationships with nonprofit leaders and practitioners to inform programming.
  • Represent Aha Projects at community events and partner meetings.

Program Director: Coaching, Education & Shared Services
Position Summary

Aha Projects is seeking a collaborative leader to design and deliver nonprofit capacity-building services that help nonprofit organizations grow stronger and more sustainable. The ideal candidate enjoys building new programs, facilitating conversations, connecting people with resources, and helping organizations move from identifying challenges to implementing solutions.

This role will lead AHA's educational programming, including workshops, Lunch & Learns, AHA Talks, and other learning opportunities, creating an educational experience that supports nonprofits at every stage of growth. This individual will also serve as a trusted coach and thought partner for nonprofit leaders, guiding organizations with technical assistance and connections to shared services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of AHA's educational programming, including:
  • Lunch & Learns
  • AHA Talks (Video Series)
  • Community trainings
  • Peer learning opportunities
  • Engage the community of resources and variety of experts in our community to recruit and manage speakers, facilitators, and partners.
  • Utilize the feedback loop from other all aspects of the org to develop educational offerings.
  • Develop systems, workflows, tools, and documentation that standardize service delivery while maintaining flexibility for small organizations.
  • Develop program materials, resources, and learning content.
Nonprofit Coaching & Resource Sharing (40%)
  • Create the pipeline for nonprofits to receive coaching, technical services, shared services and outsource to service providers.
  • Serve as an ongoing coach and strategic thought partner for nonprofit leaders.
  • Connect organizations with subject matter experts, consultants, and service providers as needs arise.
  • Track organizational progress and adapt coaching strategies over time.
  • Help organizations identify and connect with operational gaps in areas such as:
  • Governance
  • Finance and bookkeeping
  • Human resources
  • Legal compliance
  • Strategic planning
  • Coordinate referrals and handoffs to internal staff and external partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the capacity-building process.
Community Engagement (20%)
  • Build relationships with nonprofit leaders, experts, and service providers across the region.
  • Listen for trends, challenges, and opportunities that inform AHA programming.
  • Convene nonprofit leaders to share best practices and strengthen the sector.
  • Represent Aha Projects at community events and partner meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
