Job summary

Montana Hospital Association seeks a full-time Program Director in Helena, MT to lead the Rural Health Transformation Program's statewide initiatives. This permanent, senior role focuses on strategic leadership and program execution across multiple partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Montana Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Center of Excellence Implementation
• Manage implementation partners and staff
• Responsible for leading statewide implementation activities
• Support rural healthcare organizations in achieving measurable improvements in access, quality, financial sustainability, and operational performance
• Oversee program performance and healthcare data reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Finance, or another healthcare-related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare administration, hospital operations, rural health, healthcare consulting, program management, quality improvement, or a related healthcare field.
• Demonstrated experience administering federal or state-funded healthcare grants, cooperative agreements, or government contracts.
• Strong understanding of Critical Access Hospital (CAH) operations and rural healthcare delivery.
• Experience leading complex healthcare initiatives involving multiple organizations and stakeholders.
• Experience overseeing healthcare data collection, performance measurement, analytics, or program evaluation.
• Experience supervising professional staff.
• Valid Montana driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
