Job Description

Clinical Ink is seeking an experienced Program Director to join our Project Management team based remotely in the United States. This role provides oversight across assigned customer programs, ensure seamless cross‑functional execution, strong governance, and deliver key operational and customer performance objectives. Additionally, this role serves as a senior point of contact for customers and strategic partners and drives continuous improvement, performance measurement, and delivery excellence across global clinical trial programs. The Program Director's responsibilities include:

• Partner with the Commercial team to develop and implement a strategic plan for their assigned accounts(s) to ensure excellent project execution and relationship growth between Clinical Ink and strategic accounts (inclusive of partner accounts and strategic sponsor accounts).
• Provide a cohesive strategy across the program to ensure smooth project execution across departments; communicate regularly to ensure internal staff is aware of all updates on assigned customers and guarantee project excellence.
• Work closely with the head of Project Management and/or Operations to proactively manage strategic risk (positive and negative) and contingencies and lead problem solving and resolution efforts.
• Drive continuous improvement at the team and organization level; identify, scope, and lead process improvement initiatives in the Business Unit for assigned programs.
• Forecast and identify opportunities to accelerate activities to bring revenue, bookings, and cash receipt forward.
• Ensure appropriate oversight and documentation of the partnership is defined, developed, and maintained.
• Responsible for direct line management of Program Managers, Project Managers and Associate Project Managers, within the assigned team, driving customer priorities, identifying performance gaps, defining actions and establishing improvement plans.
• Liaise and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organizations to achieve global program deliverables and ensure excellent delivery and consistency within programs, including implementation of best practices, governance, and driving customer specific performance improvement projects.
• Partner with cross‑functional study teams to prepare for and engage in interactions with strategic partners to ensure successful outcomes for clinical programs (e.g. direction/input for joint operating and/or steering committee meetings, development and review of metrics, project‑based analyses and recommendations).
• Recommend and implement innovative process ideas and tools to improve the strategic partnership.
• Lead engagement activities related to protocol/pipeline review to ensure successful, on‑time launch of all clinical trials.
• Communicate program progress, and effectively identify and manage potential risks.
• Identify, define, and measure KPIs and core metrics across the partner program.
• Serve as an advocate for the partner to ensure all stakeholders understand key customer requirements, provide service delivery excellence, achieve all customer milestones and develop/implement new services as required.
• Serve as point of escalation for unresolved partner concerns; act as point person/facilitator for joint process initiatives.
• Ensure trial activities and project managers are in compliance with all applicable departmental guidelines, regulatory guidelines and GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree required.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical trials industry experience, or equivalent combination of education/training/experience required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders; proven ability to communicate to all levels of personnel within a global environment.
• Ability to solve complex problems by working cross‑functionally and ensuring cooperation from multiple departments.
• Adaptability/flexibility in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, negotiation, time management, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
