Job summary

Rome Radio Partners is seeking an experienced Program Director in Rome, GA to lead programming across six stations including Classic Country, Modern Country, News/Talk, AC, Classic Rock and Top 40. The role focuses on scheduling, imaging, promotions, and website oversight with strong collaboration with voice talents both in and out of market.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, adept at handling live surprises, and proficient with Wide Orbit automation; Marketron NXT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in programming multiple formats (Country, News/Talk, AC, Classic Rock, Top 40).
• Strong knowledge of imaging, promotions, and station websites.
• Familiarity with Wide Orbit automation systems; preference for Marketron NXT experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day programming for all stations, including scheduling and format consistency.
• Develop imaging, promotions, and oversee station websites; manage voice talent relationships.
• Provide backup support for Production as needed; ensure local decision making.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Rome Radio Partners, based in Rome, Georgia, is searching for an experienced Program Director. Our listening area is 300,000+ people in a five-county area between Atlanta and Chattanooga.

The Program Director will be responsible for general knowledge and experience in multiple formats and stations including Classic Country, Modern Country, NewsTalk, Gold-based Adult Contemporary, Classic Rock and Top 40.

Day to day programming will primarily focus on Modern Country, Adult Contemporary, and Top 40 music scheduling. Responsibilities include imaging, developing programming promotions, and oversight of station websites. Excellent communications skills needed to work with voice talents in and out of market.

Occasional backup for the Production Department is required.

Requirement:

The candidate we would like to join our family should be detailed oriented and be able to deal with the surprise challenges that all stations experience. Need to have a full understanding of programming automation systems, specifically Wide Orbit. Preferences given to those who have worked with Marketron NXT.
