Job summary

Manhattan Jewish Experience is seeking a Program Director to own and execute a calendar of events for young Jewish New Yorkers, including Shabbat dinners, weekly classes, and retreats. You will manage venues, vendors, budgets and guest experiences, while coordinating with marketing to showcase programs with photos and stories.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of work experience, including hands-on event or program work.
• Knowledge of Jewish life, Shabbat and holidays (experience with Hillel, Chabad, NCSY, Birthright is a plus).
• Self-starter who pro-actively identifies problems and opportunities.
• Strong critical thinking: asks why, measures results, and improves.
• People skills: able to energize a room from newcomers to VIP speakers.
• Excellent organization: juggling multiple programs with attention to detail.
• Comfort with budgets and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.

• Contribute to weekly Shabbat materials: bulletin, Parsha packets and marketing campaigns.

What you'll do

• Use attendance data to make each event better than the last Partner with marketing to fill every room with photos, stories and program details
• Pitch in on weekly Shabbat materials: the bulletin, Parsha packets and all marketing campaigns

The schedule

Our community gathers when they're off work, so this role includes Wednesday evenings, monthly Friday nights, select Shabbat programs, holidays, and travel for retreats and Israel trips.

This is a FT position; In office 4 days a week in NYC.

Compensation: Competitive based on experience.
