Learn & Grow Creative Arts Center LLC in Hermitage, TN is seeking a Program Director to join our inclusive school community. You will develop and implement a creative early childhood program for infants through preschoolers, alongside the Executive and Assistant Directors.

The role emphasizes guiding teachers, observing child development, ensuring safety, and collaborating with administrators, staff and families. Immediate hire pending background check and references.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Director or Assistant Director in a childcare center.
• Knowledge of DHS rules and licensing requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
• Must pass background check, complete online trainings, provide 3 references, and education documents.
• On-the-job training is provided after hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a careful and creative program for infants through preschoolers with directors.
• Use stories and play to teach children using varied techniques.
• Observe children and teachers to support social skills and self-esteem.
• Guide curriculum to develop artistic and practical abilities (shapes, numbers, colors, crafts).

L&G CAC is currently accepting applications for a Program Director to join our amazing school!

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement a careful and creative program suitable for Infants/Toddlers/Preschoolers along side the Executive & Assistant Directors.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child and teacher to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Guide children and teachers to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts etc.)
• Supervise children and teachers to ensure they are safe at all times
• Collaborate with Admin., staff, and parents
• Maintain a clean and tidy school consistent with health and safety standards.

Requirements

This position is immediate hire with the passing of a background check, completing the required online trainings, providing 3 references, and a physical. Applicants must have a copy of their highest level of education. Previous experience in the Director or Assistant Director position in a childcare center and knowledge of DHS rules with at least 2 years of previous teaching experience. All applicants will receive substantial on the job training once hired.

• Proven experience as a Director
• Knowledge of the QRIS rating system and having the expectations of receiving 100 point each visit.
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methods
• Familiarity with and the ability to implement safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Friendly, reliable, and organized
• Understanding a balance between creativity and structured classroom expectations
• Certification in infant/child CPR
• Minimum education level = CDA or Associate's degree
