The University of Maryland, College Park is seeking an experienced program manager to lead day-to-day operations for the Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation (RQS). This role coordinates research capacity, community engagement, and institute reporting across partner universities and organizations.
The successful candidate will supervise a coordinator and translate data into actionable reports for leadership.
Organization's Summary Statement: Leads day-to-day operations of the Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation (RQS) including the areas of research capacity coordination, community engagement, and institute reporting functions. Manages activities between the Institute’s collaborative universities and partner organizations, as well as administrative execution and integration of the four major functions of the center:
Interfaces with designated faculty leads and facilitates financial and operational data provision to allow the Institute leadership team to decide on the initiatives to undertake. Supervises coordinator.
This is an office job that requires the ability to be stationary for long periods time and the visual acuity and manual dexterity required to operate a computer and other standard office machinery. Must be able to attend meetings in various locations on campus.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Ten (10) years of professional program management experience.
Master's degree, experience in higher education, knowledge of the RQS program.
